During my internship with the Tennessee Board of Regents System Office, I supported system-wide communications for Tennessee’s public higher education network, including 13 community colleges and 24 colleges of applied technology. The role embedded me within an established institutional brand system, where design work needed to scale reliably across campuses, audiences, and formats.
Working under the Senior Graphic Designer, I produced and adapted print and digital materials including posters, brochures, social graphics, environmental signage, and web assets. The focus was consistent application of brand standards—maintaining clarity, hierarchy, and cohesion while responding to varied institutional needs.
FIGHT THE SPREAD from the TBR Covid Toolkit — Silver Award, 2021 TCPRA
TAKE THE PLEDGE from the TBR Covid Toolkit — Silver Award, 2021 TCPRA
WEAR IT THE RIGHT WAY, a public information poster for all campuses within the TBR system as part of the Covid Toolkit.
A central assignment of the internship was leading design production for TBR-wide "Covid Toolkit" public information campaigns, including the “Stop the Spread” and “Take the Pledge” initiatives. These campaigns required rapid execution and dependable visual logic across print, digital, and social channels. Both were later recognized with awards from the Tennessee College Public Relations Association and National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, reflecting the effectiveness of coordinated, system-level communication.
This extended internship reinforced my understanding of institutional design as collaborative, disciplined work—grounded in consistency, partnership, and long-term stewardship rather than individual expression.
