Hi, I'm Zane.
My journey into design started with a lawnmower and a copy of Photoshop.
While other kids were playing designer, I was working for the privilege. Turns out, that hunger makes all the difference between design that looks pretty and design that actually works.
High school brought a game-changing opportunity: learning design directly from a Hollywood veteran. While my classmates were still figuring out layers, I was mastering the fundamentals that most people don’t learn until they’re deep into their careers.
At Hillsdale College, I didn’t just study graphic design—I went all-in on Fine Art. Photography, drawing, layout, the whole spectrum. Most designers pick a lane and stay there. I decided that understanding the complete visual language would make me better at all of it.
Now, based in Nashville, I focus on the work that matters: turning complex ideas into visual experiences that people actually understand and remember. Whether that’s through brand systems that tell coherent stories, photography that captures more than just surface-level moments, or print layouts that guide people exactly where they need to go.
The difference between good design and great design? Great design works. It doesn’t just look the part—it does the job.
What I do
Brand Systems
Creating visual identities that aren’t just pretty logos slapped on business cards. Real brand systems that help businesses communicate consistently across every touchpoint.
Photo
Capturing the personality in portraits, the energy in events, and the authentic story of what makes each subject unique. Because stock photography is fine, but authentic imagery is unforgettable.
Print & Web
Making complex information accessible through thoughtful hierarchy and flow. Whether it’s a printed publication or a website, good design guides people naturally and makes even dense content feel effortless to consume.
